Summer seems to be passing by like a 70mph gale this year! How does this happen? One minute it is the end of May and I am wishing and planning for nice weather...the next minute it is August and beautiful and the cool weather is seeming imminent. I have always been an advocate for inventing a slo-motion button for life and right now am really wishing someone would get on that!!! The old saying, The devil finds work for idle hands obviously doesn't apply to us! We have had a busy Summer full of great things. Between Dustin and I trying to keep up our crazy busy work schedules and Soccer, and Emma's ever growing social schedule we have plenty to keep us occupied.
Emma is attending Vacation Bible School at Grace Lutheran this week and she LOVES it. I cried watching her sing songs with her class on Monday. Her faith inspires me and fills my soul with warmth and SO MUCH joy! I can only pray that one day everyone will believe like children do!! It is so fulfilling to watch her grow in the things she does. Motherhood is such a joy and precious gift! I miss staying at home so much most days. However, I am so thankful for the opportunities that my working again has brought our family. It is nice having a second income to fall back on. We get to do so much more...Emma is in dance now and she gets to continue to attend private school this year. We are taking a family vacation to Puerto Rico to be in a friends wedding this coming spring. It is things like this, that make me remember why I went back to work, and the enrichment that it brings back to our lives. I am thankful.

We spent the day running errands and decided to stop off at the Red Barn for her first honey stick....who remembers these from childhood? I sure do! We had a little impromptu photo shoot that turned out adorably fantastic! I have the best little munchkin ever.....love her <3
