The Waddle Family: Savannah or bust!!!!!

We just got back from my favorite place on Earth! Yes, it is better than Disneyland for me! We had a fabulous time! I posted a ton of pics below. We got to Savannah on Saturday and started off our time there taking a trolley tour of the historical district. I have been there before, many times, and it is just as beautiful now as it ever was. I absolutely love the history there. After the tour we walked around the river front for a while before going to dinner. Sunday, we went to Forsythe Park and walked around some more taking pics. It is such a gorgeous place that you can't help but take a million photos! That afternoon we drove to Tybee Island and had lunch out there. We drove around a while and went to the beach, then drove back toward Savannah to go to the famous Bonaventure cemetery. The fact that it is a cemetery aside....it is an absolutely beautiful place. There are pics of some of it below. The mossy oaks everywhere really make it a pretty place. The gravestones and mausoleums are so amazing to see. After we were done touring this very large place we headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We went out to Desposito's that night. Just a hole in the wall restaurant famous for it's fresh seafood. They literally catch the crab in the bay in front of the place! We took some pics on the dock there that you'll see below. Can I just say now, that I LOVE the South?!! It is the most beautiful part of the country for me! So, Monday morning came unwelcomed by me! We checked out of our hotel, said goodbye to Savannah, and headed for Hilton Head Island, SC. I was surprised to find yet another phenomenally beautiful place in the South! We found our next vacation spot when we arrived in Hilton Head. The pics on the beach you'll see below are from there. After shopping at the outlet malls there we headed home. It was a really great weekend!
